Our Attorneys
Richard D. SchrammRichard D. Schramm is the Managing Attorney and Owner of Employment Rights Attorneys, where he has been since 1991. Prior to that he was an Associate Attorney with McTernan, Stender & Walsh as well as with the previous employment rights attorneys. Mr. Schramm was an Acting & Interim Director, Supervisor, and Senior Investigator for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission from 1979 to 1988. Mr. Schramm served as a Consultant for the California Department of Fair Employment & Housing from 1988 to 1989, where he assisted in training Civil Rights Specialists. He was also a Compliance Officer of Adult Services for the Dallas Epilepsy Association and the Assistant Personnel Director of Thorsen Tool Company.
Mr. Schramm was admitted to the California State Bar in December of 1990. He received his Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law, Santa Clara, CA. He also has a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas Health Science Center - Dallas, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Experimental Psychology from the University of Texas, Austin.
Mr. Schramm has been a trial attorney, handling wrongful termination and discrimination cases, as well as wage-hour and fee dispute cases. He also been hired as an expert witness in employment discrimination matters, wage-hour litigation, and in attorney-client fee disputes. He has been accepted as an expert witness on employment law by three federal courts. His professional memberships include the National Employment Lawyers Association, California Employment Lawyers Association, Silicon Valley Employment Lawyers Association, Sexual Harassment Roundtable Group, as well as the Labor and Employment Sections of American, California and Santa Clara County Bar Associations. Mr. Schramm has approximately 25 years of experience in dealing with employment related matters.
